Fundamental Professional Competencies

Standards

Undergraduate

Basic Legal Professional Ability

Students must pass the comprehensive examinations of Basic Law set by the School of Law.

Legal Document Writing Ability

Students must complete the Graduation Project report which conforms to the Department evaluation standards.

Future Career Competitiveness

1. Prior to graduation, students must complete the requirements stated in the Enforcement Rules for Department Internship.

2. Prior to graduation, students must complete at least one Focused Course Program, minor or double major. This is applicable to students admitted in the 2014-15 AY and beyond.

Master’s Program

Ability in Legal Questions Research and Analysis

Students are required to write three term papers which conform to the Department evaluation standards.

Legal Paper Thesis Writing Ability

Students are required to present one paper in a conference or academic journal with a review system.

Professional Foreign Language Application Ability

Students are required to use more than 20 foreign references for their graduation thesis, among which the five main references must be cited in the paper more than three times, displaying a real depth of reference. However, if there are no related foreign references that can be referred to for the thesis topic, upon the approval of the advisor, a written explanation may be submitted to the Department Chair, upon whose approval that thesis is not subject to this requirement.

Work-experience Master's Program

Ability in Professional Paper Writing

Ability in Research and Analysis of Legal Questions
